Best route for installing antenna in 1965 mustang

Jump to latest status not open for further replies. I have purchased a radio delete kit for my 66 coupe and have been unable to find a base plate for the antenna They do make them but they start with 79 and up mustangs I know that radio delete cars came w/o a hole in the fender

Any ideas on what i can use for a base plate or a plug of some.
